First-Time User Login Procedure for the CIS Main Lab ATC203 and ATC Classrooms
  • Students who have already registered in the Accounting and CIS courses will be able to create the Windows and Linux accounts at the same time on the first day of class, or anytime during the quarter.  
  • If your scheduled classes are in ATC204, ATC205, ATC311 and ATC312 or you are in the Main Lab in ATC203, the process is the following:
    • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete
    • Read the legal notice and click "Ok"
    • The Business/CIS Account Request will be displayed.
    • Type "hello" and leave the password section blank.
    • Follow the directions to enter your 8-digit ID, Birth Month, Birth Day and 4-digit Birth Year.
    • Click on "Submit for Account Creation"
    • The computer will now check to see if you are enrolled.
    • Read the lab rules and click the check box in the lower left bottom corner to indicate that you accept and will participate.
    • Choose a Login Name -- suggested first initial followed by your last name.
    • Enter a password or your choice.
    • You will need to wait 5-10 minutes to use your new account.
  • Students can also follow detailed instructions below to setup lab accounts from their laptops or outside ATC classrooms.
    • On the browser: Open De Anza College website.
    • Under Course Information tab, choose “Instructional Division & Depts.” then click on the Business, Computer Science and Applied Technologies Division webpage.
    • Locate the "Create Your Business/CS Computer Lab Account" button on the left hand side of the page.  Press the button, and a new browser window will open.  This window displays the Business/CS Account Request.
  • Note: All CIS student lab accounts will be removed at the end of the quarter.
